Sometimes you just start planning before you have all of the answers. Matt wanted to build his mom a car, a feature car. He knew it should be a convertible but she had to decide the rest. Her response? “Oh, anything would be nice. You decide.”
The car is named Summer because Matt’s mom is a retired teacher.

The 80’s called. They want their cool back.
The plan to build a trophy convertible changed when this McLaren came up for sale. They metal was mostly solid but the car needed a lot of cosmetic attention inside and out. The car was restored in the summer of 2012, and given as a retirement present later that year.
